Kat Anderson
Kat Anderson is a striking poet, playwright and public speaker. Her writing is honest, uplifting and illuminating as she weaves through the full spectrum of personal experiences and emotions. She writes to connect to herself, make sense of the world and to leave it a little brighter by using empathy, humour and her unique dose of “je ne sais quoi” – let’s simply call it her magique (magic).
Kat honed her speaking skills at Luton Speakers (2015 – 2019), a division of Toastmasters International and a wonderful training ground which gave her the confidence to compete in Speaking Competitions; performing rather impressively, advancing to Division level in the Humour contests for two years. (One round away from the National Finals). Kat has now set herself the challenge of joining a French speaking Toastmasters Club in Paris to flourish on international stages – en français – bien sûr (of course). Kat loves nothing more than dropping a few French words in conversation and she promises herself that she WILL pick up her Spanish again, to become a triple threat! The poetry scene better watch out too. Kat occasionally performs poetry in local clubs in Luton and now her sights are set on stages around the world, starting with France.
Kat’s style and character are radiant, effervescent and dazzling. But she can pack a punch, the streets or Paris have made sure of that! After 1.5 glorious years, living with her sister surrounded by the French mountains, Kat made the leap to move to Paris. La vie est belle for Kat in the French capital as she carves out a cosy spot in the world and she is enjoying this new chapter of her life immensely.
In her day job, Kat works in Talent Acquisition in the life science and deeptech innovation space. She finds it incredibly rewarding to work alongside start-up leaders who are promoting world-changing ideas that we are desperately in need of. Kat is always open to expanding her professional network. Connect on LinkedIn where she shares about science and creativity.
Kat’s debut poetry collection and debut play are coming soon.
